Barware at Hamilton Home

A good bar is built from a few pieces that get used every week. A decanter that pours cleanly. Tumblers with real weight in the hand. Flutes that make an ordinary Tuesday feel like an occasion. Hamilton Home has stocked barware for the homes of Princeton and Palm Beach for generations, and the pieces we carry are chosen to be used, not kept behind glass.

The selection runs from hand-blown Vermont glass to French crystal. Simon Pearce makes decanters, martini glasses and wine coasters in Vermont, each piece blown and finished by hand. Baccarat, founded in France in 1764, is represented by the Harcourt decanter and the Dom Pérignon flute. William Yeoward brings English cut crystal, and Christofle brings silver-plated ice buckets. We also carry our own Princeton University double old fashioned glasses, a favorite for alumni. These are gifts for the host who already has everything, the new homeowner, the groom's party or anyone who takes a nightcap seriously.

Barware is best judged in person. Visit us in Princeton or Palm Beach to feel the weight of a tumbler or see how a decanter catches the light, or book an appointment and our team will set out a few options for you. Every order is gift wrapped, and if you are not sure which pattern suits the person you are buying for, our team can help you choose.

Barware FAQ

What makes a good barware gift?

Start with what the person drinks. A decanter and two tumblers suit a whiskey drinker; a pair of flutes or an ice bucket suits someone who entertains. Sets of two are the most common gift.

Can barware be engraved or monogrammed?

Many Simon Pearce and crystal pieces can be personalized. Our team can advise on which pieces take engraving well and how long it takes.

How should I care for crystal and hand-blown glass?

Hand wash in warm water with a mild soap and dry with a soft cloth. Avoid sudden temperature changes and the dishwasher unless the maker says otherwise.

Can barware be added to a wedding registry?

Yes. Couples can add any of these pieces to their Hamilton gift registry, and our team can help build a bar from the ground up.
