Dining & Entertaining at Hamilton Home

The table is where a house becomes a home. Hamilton Home carries the pieces that make a dinner feel considered: porcelain that has been made the same way for centuries, hand-blown glass bowls, serving boards and the small objects that sit between the plates. Whether you are setting a formal table or putting out cheese for friends, the right pieces make the evening easier.

Ginori 1735 has made porcelain in Florence since 1735, and the Oriente Italiano dinner plate is one of its best-known patterns. Juliska brings relaxed, hand-finished ceramics in the Berry & Thread and Puro collections. Michael Aram's metal serving pieces, like the White Orchid cheese board, are sculptural enough to leave out. Simon Pearce glass bowls and slate platters come from Vermont, and William Yeoward adds English crystal tazzas and honey jars. Claude Dozorme steak knives come from Thiers, France. Together they suit a bride building her first table, a host who entertains often, or anyone replacing the pieces they use most.

Patterns and finishes read differently in person. Visit our showrooms in Princeton or Palm Beach to see them set out, or book an appointment and our team will pull options to your taste. Every order is gift wrapped, and our team can help you choose a piece that works with what the recipient already owns.

Dining & Entertaining FAQ

What is a good hostess gift?

A serving piece the host can use that evening works well: a cheese board, a small bowl, a honey jar or a set of cocktail plates. Our team can suggest options at any budget.

Can I buy a single plate or do I need a full set?

Most of our dinnerware is sold by the piece, so you can start with a few and add over time. Our team can advise on which patterns are open stock.

Is this dinnerware dishwasher safe?

It depends on the maker and the finish. Porcelain without metallic trim is usually fine; hand-blown glass and gilded pieces should be hand washed. Our team can advise on a specific piece.

Can these pieces go on a registry?

Yes. Every item in this collection can be added to a Hamilton gift registry, and our team can help a couple plan a full table.
