The Silhouette Collection is the Hamilton ring with a secret. From above it is a clean solitaire: a polished, sculptural shank and a natural diamond center stone. From the side, a halo of round brilliant diamonds sits beneath the setting, catching light that only the wearer knows to look for. It is made exclusively by Hamilton in the Princeton workshop. The idea is to give a bride a ring that looks classic to everyone else and feels particular to her.
Hamilton makes Silhouette in platinum and in 18k yellow, white, and rose gold, as well as two-tone with a platinum head on a gold shank. Center stones include round brilliant, oval, and cushion cuts, from under two carats to more than seven, with GIA grading detailed on each ring. The Origin series within the collection pairs the hidden halo with larger round and oval diamonds in platinum. Some shanks are plain and some carry micro-set diamonds. The collection suits someone who wants a modern solitaire with more going on than first appears. Many rings pair a platinum head with a yellow or rose gold shank for a two-tone look, and on the larger rings the hidden halo alone adds close to half a carat of diamonds. Matching Hamilton wedding bands sit flush against the shank.
