Breitling at Hamilton Jewelers
Breitling was founded in 1884 in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, and built its name on the chronograph. The company introduced the independent chronograph pushpiece in 1915 and the second return-to-zero pusher in 1934, the layout every chronograph uses today. The Navitimer of 1952, with its slide-rule bezel for flight calculations, became the pilot's watch of record. Breitling remains one of the few independent Swiss houses to produce its own manufacture calibers, and every watch it sells is a COSC-certified chronometer.
Hamilton stocks Breitling across its air, land and sea collections. That means the Navitimer in B01 chronograph and automatic 36 and 41 millimeter forms, the Chronomat in B01, B31 and 36 millimeter versions, the Superocean and Superocean Heritage, the Avenger, the Endurance Pro and the Classic AVI. There are limited editions and perpetual calendars for collectors, and steel-on-bracelet daily watches for someone buying a first serious chronograph. Sizes run from 36 to 44 millimeters.
Breitling watches are best judged on the wrist, where case weight and bracelet feel matter as much as the dial. Visit our watch salons in Princeton or Palm Beach to compare models side by side, or book an appointment and we will have the references you are considering ready. Every order is gift wrapped, and our team can help you choose between collections if you are buying for someone else.
